Introduction to WCS Industrial Services
WCS Environmental Ltd was formed in 1987 by the current Managing Director, Mike Sullivan, who has trained and practiced as a biologist in the water treatment industry.
The company has attained extensive market penetration over the last 23 years throughout the UK and serves customers as diverse as health authorities, defence estates, aerospace, retail and leisure, as well as a range of subcontracts to building operation and mechanical works.
Major PLC companies include Travelodge, Marks and Spencer and Tesco within our Commercial & Retail Division, Agusta Westland, BAe, Airbus and Honeywell within our Industrial Division as well as several Primary Care Trusts and NHS facilities.
Our strategy of growth through synergistic acquisition has helped us establish an enviable position within the UK, helped by the merger with Gower Chemicals in 2002, which allowed us to manufacture specialist chemicals for water treatment. In 2008 the acquisition of Clearway Water Treatment Ltd. (Bridgend) allowed WCS to extend its already impressive client base, and increase the WCS skilled staffing level by 70%, placing WCS within the top 15 of European Environmental Serivces companies.
Our head office is in Bristol, with regional offices in Bridgend, Yeovil, Doncaster and Rotherham providing you with truly national coverage

Mike Sullivan
A Chartered Biologist and member of the Water Management Society Mike started WCS Environmental 23 years ago . Mike is a Legionella control expert and advises several National and International companies on Legionella Prevention and Awareness.Mike is a major shareholder in WCS Environmental Group Ltd and takes great pride in giving customers excellent service which he monitors via regular contract review meetings.
Ian Butcher
Ian is a Chartered Director and Accountant and is the Chief Financial Officer of several companies ranging from Chemical Distribution to Water Treatment to the Leisure Industry.A Master of Business Administration and an economics graduate of Cardiff Business School Ian is also a shareholder of WCS Environmental Group Ltd.Ian also advises the Bank of England's Agent on economic conditions in Wales and is often asked by BBC Radio Wales to comment on economic issues
Tony Poole
Tony Poole is a member of the Water Management Society and a trained engineer ( Rolls Royce). Tony has many years experience in the operational side of Water Treatment and is a main Board member specialising particularly in the Ministry of Defence division of WCS. Tony is also a shareholder of WCS Environmental Group Limited.
